Southern Aurora and Legion Star spent the half term week at a training camp in Zele Belgium, This was the first time either corps had done a 7 day trip, and continued their move to being more European based. Drumband Zele hosted Southern Aurora and Legion Star’s stay

6am Sunday morning, the day of days, the day we have worked and strived for, the deadline we could not move! This is it this is FINALS!
The morning was bright and sunny, and after a short wait for Ian Mac to fetch Amy’s horn case, how did she forget that! And a quick phone call to Darren to make sure he was out of bed this time, we set off. We arrived in Crawley at 7:30 ish, the race to board the coach was lost by little Pip who managed to leave half her knees in the road after a tumble, having picked her up and dusted her off, we were away!

When you take a corps into Europe, there are many problems that can occur, as the annals of our history will testify! Taking two corps to Europe, just doubles the problems, with this in mind we set off Thursday night having had endless meetings to insure everything would be fine, we had even gone to the lengths of sending John and Ann Legon to have a look the previous week.

Aurora have taken delivery of their new equipment truck.
The new truck weighs in at 7.5 Tons, and with a 24ft furniture body, its absolutely cavernous compared with the old truck. [More]
